2008 Wilmington Beer Festival

This Saturday, October 18, 2008 @ Hugh MacRae Park in Wilmington NC is the Lighthouse 2008 Beer Festival.  According to the site there will be 50 international and domestic vendors.  General admission is $25 if tickets are purchased in advanced and $35 at the door.  This is a 21+ year old event.  This annual event is a great time I went 2 years and had a blast.  This is an all you can drink event, not to say that you should but just mentioning that you can try a lot of different beers and retry the ones you love.  Live music will be provided.  This is a major event and it is highly recommended to arrive early to beat the crowd.  Contact Carolina Plantations for more information.

Air conditioning can be the primary cause for expensive energy bills in the summer months of your Brunswick Plantation and Coastal NC real estate. Here are some helpful hints that can help keep your home cool and refreshing for less than what it costs now to do so.

Obviously, on the days that it is cooler and/or there is a cooling breeze try cutting off the A/C in place of opening all of the windows.

Anything that gives off a significant amount of heat should try to be avoided during the hottest parts of the day such as baking, cooking, showering, and hair drying. The heat from these activities will help heat your home.

Heat can enter and the cool air can leave through your walls and attic. This is a huge waste of air conditioning and your hard earned dollars. The walls and roof of your home should be insulated to keep this from happening.

Closing curtains and shades will help prevent heat from entering your home.

Association of Realtors). This will add to their
credentials as your agent. Members of NAR are suppose

research their answer.

• Their experience in the field. How long have they
been real estate professional?

• What is their commission and is it negotiable? You

We are currently experiencing a buyer's market for Brunswick County NC real estate. This implies that current real estate market conditions are favorable for buyers or renters. Nancy Boston has joined Carolina Plantations Real Estate in Ocean Isle Beach as a neighborhood specialist.
Boston has 15 years experience in real estate sales as a listing and selling agent. With years of experience in social work prior to entering real estate, Boston fine-tuned her professional listening skills, which allow her to focus on providing the highest level of service to her clients.
In addition to being a certified relocation specialist, she moved here from the Northeast and understands the particular needs of people moving to the area.
Boston is a member of the Shallotte Rotary Club and is involved in many activities at Rivers Edge, where she and her husband, Dr. Jim Boston, live. When she is not working, she and Jim enjoy kayaking the waterways, biking, tennis and walking the beaches of Brunswick County.
Boston also attends the many cultural events of Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, S.C., loves to cook, entertain friends and family, and spending time with her daughter, Anna.
