Pumpkin Day, a celebration of the Fall season, takes place on Saturday, October 15 at Indigo Farms, Calabash. There’s plenty to do with old farm games, hayrides, hay maze, a pumpkin patch pick-your-own pumpkins, paint pumpkins, pony rides, pig races (Indigo Farms stock pig racing, Naspig series) bluegrass music, and food. Little people’s village, box train, corn stalk tipi, straw house. Lots of photo opportunities, too, with scarecrow characters, barnyard and farm animals. Farm market with decor items, flowers, pumpkins, baked goods, produce, Indigo’s apple cider and grape juice. There is no admission fee but some activities, such as hayrides, pick-your-pumpkins, and pumpkin painting, do have fees. The pumpkin patch is open Saturday mornings and all during the event days. Tours and nighttime hayrides are by reservation. Don’t miss this exciting day!
