Historic downtown Wilmington has opened up her arms to millions of visitors and local residents for decades. With many quaint stores, stunning southern architecture, a multitude of dining and shopping venues set on cobblestone streets, it’s a city you could easily fall in love with. The next generation of downtown Wilmington is bringing in plenty of exciting new hotels with lots of glass, steel, and huge granite bars offering plenty of adventurous outdoor dining and live music along the riverfront. Incredibly spacious private yachts, a state of the art Performing Arts Center and a new generation of Southerners will soon define the north side of historic downtown Wilmington.

It was just a year ago that the Port City Marina, with over 100 wet slips, opened their doors. Now they welcome Vida and BlackFinn Ameripub — two new restaurants overlooking the Port City Marina and Cape Fear River.

Vida is an upscale Mexican cantina opening this summer. It has the absolute hottest bar in all of Wilmington that is located outside on the second deck hanging over the Cape Fear River. The BlackFinn American Pub, opening sometime in May, will offer craft beers, a huge menu of eclectic foods and indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the Port City Marina.
